International Arts & Homelessness Festival

In November 2018 a strengthened team was ready to take over 57 Spring Gardens – an office space in the city centre – and together construct the making space. Karl’s work at the 2017 installation was vital to raising our profile and ensuring we hit the ground running, but this new approach felt like an evolution and over the course of the week contributors painted their own stories. Over 200 people visited the residency and members of the public and Festival delegates from around the world were invited to make their own marks on the artwork resulting in a piece that included messages of support in around a dozen languages. Interactivity was the key and universally we all felt, although smaller in scale it was bigger in ideas.
